The trail passes major villages like Ulleri and Ghorepani to Poonhill. Ghorepani is a beautiful Gurung village that lies in the backdrop of the beautiful Himalayas. A representative from our team will be waiting for you at the arrival terminal of Kathmandu airport. Make sure that you look after a person with your nameplate! The representative will welcome and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. As you check into the hotel, the representative will give you a short synopsis on our plans ahead. Today, we get set to leave the Kathmandu valley. After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up for a flight to Pokhara city. The flight leaves from Tribhuvan International Airport in a domestic airline in Nepal. After around 30 minutes of flight, we reach the beautiful touristic hub of Nepal – Pokhara. We check in the hotel, freshen up and get ready for a relaxing exploration around the lakeside Pokhara. The pristine air, serene lake water and mountains, lakeside Pokhara is a heavenly place to be at. In the evening, we return back to our hotel. Spend your time at the hotel in Pokhara for the night.
Today, we take a short drive from Pokhara to Ulleri. It’s around a three and half hour drive from Pokhara city. At Ulleri, we ride along a trail that leads us to Ghorepani. At first, we drive along the Modi Khola to Birenthanti. Birenthanti is a large village with many houses, teahouses, and lodges. We walk past the village and follow the Bhurungdi river for a while. Then the road climbs up to Hile. A short ride up from Hile and we reach Ulleri. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Ulleri.
We leave Ulleri and make our way up to Ghorepani. At first, we crossed a suspension bridge over a stream near Ulleri and climbed up along a stone-paved staircase. The stairs up are too many of around 1500-2000 in number. As we climb up the stairs, we open up to the village that is mostly inhabited by people of the Magar community. Further, we followed a trail with pastures and cultivated farmland to Nangethanti and finally to Ghorepani. As we open up to the village of Ghorepani, we can see the mountains so close to us. It’s truly a beautiful village that sits in the backdrop of beautiful Annapurna massif. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Ghorepani.
We wake up early and hike up to Poonhill to catch the views of the sunrise. The golden sun rays fall upon the glittering snow of Annapurna massif, it’s just so awesome. From Poonhill, we catch some magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Macchapucchre, Langtang Himal, Manaslu Himal and many more. After a wonderful start of the day with the heart-whelming views of mountains, we return back to the guesthouse for breakfast and start descending down to Tadapani. We walk past a lush forested area to get to Tadapani. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Tadapani.
Leaving Tadapani, we follow a trail with spectacular views of lush landscapes and mountains. Enjoying the majestic views of mountains, we descend down to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a popular Gurung village in the region. It is known for its dramatic location and the great hospitality of locals. After experiencing the great hospitality of local people, we drove back to the city of Pokhara. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Pokhara.
Today, after breakfast at the hotel, we got into our ride for a drive back to Kathmandu. We follow the same scenic route along Prithvi Highway to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to a hotel in Kathmandu. Tonight, spend your time at the hotel in Kathmandu.
