Alternative options of Short Hiking
If you want to extend Chandragiri Day Hiking, you can opt for one night two days, Chandragiri Hiking. For this, we set up a camp at Chhap Bhanjyang and spend a night there. This option shall offer an opportunity to visit an enormous cliff that treasures a 500-meter-long cave. It is a more relaxing and hassle-free trip where you can spend some quality time in a pristine environment.
Another option is a short option for those who would like to opt for a cable car journey that is a day’s walk. Despite walking, you can take a cable car ride to Chandragiri Hill. It is more like a day tour than a hike.

Day 01 :Hike to Chandragiri Hill (2,551m/8,369ft)
Elevation: 2,551m
Early in the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel for a beautiful short hike to Chandragiri Hill. A short drive from your hotel will bring you to Kirtipur, where you can visit the Kirtipur Durbar Square and drive ahead to Macchagaun. From the Macchagaun, we start hiking towards the Chandragiri Hill. We walk along a lush trail full of forests and incredible mountain views to Chandragiri Hill. At Chandragiri, we visit the temple and its premises. From the top, we will be blessed with some fantastic views of the mountains. The hill offers an uninterrupted view of mountains from Mt. Api to Everest and from Makalu to Kanchenjunga. Also, the Kathmandu valley is visible from above. After spending some joyful moments in Chandragiri, we drive back to Kathmandu. We will drop you at your hotel in Kathmandu after the short day hike. The day hike is an excellent opportunity to traverse through a forested area full of medicinal and other useful herbs. The trail is also the best place for a bird watching activity.

EBC Hike in May 2026
Last month in May 2026, I did the Everest Base Camp hike with Heaven Himalaya, and it was absolutely amazing. From the start they made everything easy . My guide Bishal, which he said meant thulo in nepali was so helpful and patient; he knew everything about the trail and mountains and also made us laugh all the time.Our porter Krishna was a star! He carried our bags without complaining and always had a smile, telling us funny stories in the evenings. I don't know what we would have done without him.The trek itself was so hard but so worth it. Truly Unforgettable!!!
My friend and I booked the 14 day Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake trek. The whole experience was amazing. Ram made it easy to alter the trip to our specific needs. We added flights, cut off 2 days of trekking, requested single rooms, and he quickly got us a quote and booked! Hari was our guide on the trek and he was fantastic! He attended to all our needs and safely guided us for the entire time.
