Early in the morning, we walk towards the view tower in Nagarkot from where we can admire some stunning views of mountains and sunrise views amidst the mountains. Then we return to our hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we drive towards Kathmandu for a sightseeing tour Kathmandu. Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu includes a guided tour around the art, historical, and cultural monuments around the Kathmandu city that has been listed under the UNESCO world heritage site charts. Today, after breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up for a city tour ahead. The tour starts from Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historical palace that dates back to the 16th century during the Malla reign in Nepal's medieval period. The palace is a huge complex with a palace, courtyards, and temples. The structure is beautifully crafted with various wood, metal, and stonework. We explore the periphery of the palace and visit a museum inside the palace. After exploring the palace, we head to Swayambhunath stupa, a large stupa placed on a hilltop surrounded by various Buddha statues and monasteries. Next, we drive to Pashupatinath temple, the oldest Hindu temple with many temples and statues that dates back to ancient times. At Last, we head to Boudhanath stupa, a huge stupa placed on a three-layered Mandela. We visit all these beautiful heritage sites and end our day with a drive back to your hotel. Take a flight from Kathmandu airport to Lhasa city. Enjoy the views of the Himalayas as you fly over it to Lhasa city. Upon arrival, our Chinese crew will welcome you at the airport and drive you to a hotel in Lhasa city. Your day starts with breakfast at the hotel. Then your guide will pick you up from the hotel for a sightseeing tour around the city today. Sera monastery – It is one of the great three Gelug university monasteries in Tibet. It is a huge complex with a big assembly hall and three colleges. The whitewashed walls, red-colored art in the ceiling walls, and golden colored roof are the monastery features. It is responsible for around 19 hermitages, including four nunneries located in the foothills of Lhasa.

Norbulingka Palace is a magnificent palace of Dalai Lama (summer settlement residence) surrounded by various periphery parks. Also considered the world’s highest, largest, and well preserved ancient artificial horticultural garden, the palace area blends architecture with sculptures and arts from various Tibetan ethnic groups. The entire complex is divided into five distinct sections – each section with a beautiful cluster of artistic buildings, chambers, and gardens.

Jokhang temple – It is an ancient Buddhist temple in the Bakhor street of Lhasa city. The architectural structure of the temple is a mixture of Indian Vihara design, Tibetan and Nepalese design. The temple is also regarded as the spiritual heart of Lhasa city.

As you enter the city, the first thing that comes to your sight is the red and whitewashed building on a top of a hill, the Potala Palace. The palace is known for its grandness, huge complex, architecture, and dramatic location. The palace has been listed in the charts of the UNESCO listed world heritage sites.

Drepung monastery – Located on the Gambo Utse mountain, around 5 kilometers away from Lhasa's western suburb, the Drepung monastery is the largest of all the Tibetan monasteries that housed more than seven thousand monks. There was a time when the monastery had as many as ten thousand monks. It used to be a residence of Dalai Lama until the grand Potala palace was built.

Today, we catch a flight to Paro from Kathmandu airport. The flight to Paro is one of the best experiences of flying over the Himalayas. The landing in Bhutan offers some amazing views of mountains along with the Himalayas ranges. As you land in Bhutan airport, clear all the immigration and custom formalities in the airport and get out of the airport. Our Bhutanese crew member will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to a hotel in Paro. We can visit Ta Dzong and   Kichu Lhakhang today. Early in the morning, we get set for a hike to Tiger’s Nest monastery. After breakfast at the hotel, we set up a wonderful hike up to Taktsang monastery, which is also popular as Tiger’s Nest monastery. We walk uphill for around two to three hours to explore a beautiful Buddhist monastery that clings to a cliff. The dramatic location of the monastery adds value to the beauty of the monastery. As per mythology, Guru Rinpoche had flown to this place on a tiger’s back to meditate in a cave here. The monastery stands in the same place where Guru Rinpoche has meditated. Hike up to the monastery offers some spectacular view of Paro valley. After exploring the monastery, we get down to Paro city for lunch. If we couldn’t visit Kichu Lhakhang and Ta Dzong earlier due to time constraints, we can visit those places today. After that, we drive along a scenic route to the capital city of Bhutan – Thimphu. Though the capital city, Thimphu, is effortless. Imagine a capital city with around one lakh population that doesn’t have traffic lights on the road! Isn’t it interesting? At Thimphu, we visit Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang, National Library, the Institute for Zorig Chusum, Textile museum, Trashichhoedzong, etc. After visiting the above-mentioned places, we head towards Paro valley.
