The village serves as one of the starting points of the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek and the ending point of the Poon Hill Trek. It’s the best place near Pokhara for spending quality time with family and friends on a weekend.

Larkya La Pass (5,106 m / 16,752 ft) is the highest point of the Manaslu Circuit Trek and one of Nepal’s most breathtaking high-altitude passes.

Nestled between the Manaslu and Annapurna regions, it offers panoramic views of peaks like Manaslu, Himlung, and Annapurna II. A trek here promises adventure, stunning scenery, and a glimpse into authentic Himalayan culture.

Samdo is one of the remote villages on the Manaslu Circuit Trek. It lies in the upper section of the trail at 3,860 m (12,598 ft), near the Nepal-Tibet (China) border, offering spectacular mountain views and local culture to visitors.

The village is the last human settlement before the highest point of the journey, Larkya La (Pass), which rises at 5,106 m (16,929 ft). After this, Dharmashala comes next, which isn’t exactly a village, but just a place with four tea houses.
