Fura Tashi Sherpa

Fura Tashi Sherpa is an experienced climbing guide and expedition leader working with Heaven Himalaya. With more than 15 years of experience in Himalayan climbing and mountaineering, Fura Tashi has developed extensive practical knowledge of high-altitude environments, climbing routes, expedition logistics, and mountain safety.

Throughout his career, Fura Tashi has been involved in and led more than 50 climbing and expedition groups, gaining valuable experience across some of Nepal’s well-known trekking peaks and Himalayan climbing destinations. His extensive time in the mountains has allowed him to develop a strong understanding of changing mountain conditions, route management, acclimatization, and the challenges that climbers may encounter at high altitude.

Fura Tashi has climbing and expedition experience on several prominent Himalayan peaks, including Lobuche Peak, Island Peak, Mera Peak, Pisang Peak, and Ama Dablam. His experience across these different mountains has given him exposure to a variety of terrain and climbing conditions, from popular trekking peaks to more technically demanding Himalayan expeditions.

As an expedition leader, Fura Tashi has guided and coordinated numerous groups throughout his career. His experience leading 50+ expeditions has strengthened his ability to manage climbing groups, work with expedition teams, and make practical decisions in the mountain environment. He brings a calm and experienced approach to each expedition, with a strong focus on safety, preparation, and helping climbers navigate the challenges of high-altitude climbing.

Fura Tashi has been a valued member of the Heaven Himalaya team since 2022, where he continues to lead climbing and expedition groups in the Himalayas. His years of experience in the mountains contribute valuable knowledge to the company’s climbing and mountaineering operations.

For Fura Tashi, climbing is more than simply reaching a summit. His years spent in the Himalayas have given him a deep familiarity with the mountains and the demands of expedition life. He enjoys sharing his experience with climbers while helping them approach each expedition with proper preparation, awareness, and confidence.

With more than 15 years of climbing experience, 50+ expedition leadership experiences, and a background across peaks including Ama Dablam, Lobuche, Island, Mera, Pisang, and Pikey Peak, Fura Tashi continues to play an important role in Heaven Himalaya’s climbing and expedition team. His extensive mountain experience and leadership skills make him a valuable part of the team responsible for helping climbers experience the Himalayas.
