Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek: A Remote 3-Week Wilderness Adventure

The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek package is a 3-week-long trekking tour that takes you to the ultimate wild side of Nepal.

This hiking route is one of the least visited areas, off the beaten track, and has yet to be explored. With this trekking package, you explore the trails of Kanchenjunga with a walk to base camp. You walk away from the mainstream Nepal trekking routes, and the hordes of tourists. Also, you visit the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, which covers a vast area of 2035 square kilometers.

During the Kanchenjunga Base Camp trekking tour, you will travel in complete isolation in most parts. The trekking route has no disturbances or interference from modern shenanigans. You will find yourself amidst unmatched natural beauty against the backdrop of the beautiful Himalayas. Hence, you can enjoy the purity of natural beauty.

Mt. Kanchenjunga stands over 8,585 meters, making it the world’s third-highest peak. It is in the beautiful terrain tugged in the eastern region of Nepal, spread over the border with Sikkim. It is a massive figure with five different tips that pierce the sky. The locals derive the name Kanchenjunga, which means Five Treasures of Snow. They believe that the five other mountains are manifestations of gold, silver, grain, stone, and holy scripture. So, most people worship the mountains as the lineage of the gods and the resemblance of their blessings to humankind.

Thinking about the highlights of the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek? Well, here are the trip's prime points:

Solo trip with my guide Dipak and my porter Gadesh

My second trip with Heaven Himalaya and this time a solo trip. The team so attentive and wonderful. My guide Dipak was wonderful and I had another outstanding trip to Kanchenjunga and I look forward to my next one with the team. Thankyou .

Best Time to Visit Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek from Nepal

The best time to go on a Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is from mid-March to June’s end, and after mid-September until mid-November.

During the monsoon, trekkers should avoid taking a Kanchenjunga trekking excursion from Nepal as the routes get slick and the highways remain closed because of the continuous rains. In the winter, trekking is often impossible because of the heavy snowfall, impassable paths, and unfavorable weather.

The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek by Heaven Himalaya is a demanding hiking package. You need to cover an enormous distance each day. Being physically fit and being able to walk downhill or uphill for miles is a very important tip. So, we highly recommend you join a training session before leaving for the trek.

Despite choosing the best time for the Kanchenjunga trek, you should also note altitude sickness and its causes. Although we have an acclimatization day included in the trip itinerary to tackle altitude sickness, you still have to be careful of it.

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trekking Tour: A Journey of Self-Discovery

You will travel to the far-eastern Himalayan part of Nepal with the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek. The place has its own diverse culture and social values. Modern amenities are not nearly as luxurious. The Base Camp Kanchenjunga hike also tests your limits. It sharpens your moral and mental abilities to grow the feeling of instant gratitude for everything you have, the people you care about, and all that exists within you.

You can say the Kanchenjunga Base Camp trek is a journey of self-discovery. Hiking through the thick forest and into deep valleys with wild rivers and waterfalls raging through the veins and gorges is like meditation. Thus, we highly recommend it to peace seekers and those who are interested in less-visited places.

Those who have trekked to the region consider the Kanchenjunga Circuit the best destination for exploratory trekking in the world. Most of everything you see during trekking is probably a new discovery for the world. Besides that, it offers the best off-beaten route for adrenaline seekers to test their limits.

The route through the Arun Valley is most recommended, where you can observe the pure beauty of nature. If you’re lucky, you can see rare and elusive animals like snow leopards and red pandas.

The trekking itinerary to the Kanchenjunga Base Camp begins with Suketar of Taplejung. Besides, you will need to get a special trekking permit from a government-registered trekking company in Nepal to enter the Kanchenjunga.

Needless to worry, Heaven Himalaya is there to facilitate all your needs. Our guides and porters are from the area and know everything about the trekking route. So, get a month-long holiday to the unseen Himalayas, far from chaos in the Kanchenjunga with the 24-day trek to Kangchenjunga Base Camp.
