Kathmandu Cultural Photo and Video Tour Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide who will assist with your transfer to your hotel in the lively district of Thamel. After checking in and freshening up, we will gather for an introductory session where you will receive a comprehensive presentation about the tour itinerary, cultural norms, and safety guidelines. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and meet fellow participants.
In the evening, we will treat you to a welcome dinner at a renowned restaurant in Thamel, where you can savor traditional Nepali cuisine.
After dinner, you are free to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel at your leisure. Spend the night at your hotel in Thamel, preparing for the exciting days ahead.
The day begins with a visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that offers a glimpse into Nepal’s medieval history. You will explore the square's impressive architecture, including the 55-Window Palace, Vatsala Temple, and the five-story Nyatapola Temple, known for its intricate carvings and historical significance.
Following our time in Bhaktapur, we will head to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, this sacred site is renowned for its intricate pagoda-style temples and traditional cremation rites, offering a profound insight into local Hindu practices. In the afternoon, our journey will take us to Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest and most revered Buddhist stupas in Nepal. Here, you will witness Tibetan Buddhist rituals, observe the spinning of prayer wheels, and browse the bustling shops surrounding the stupa.
After a day full of cultural immersion, we will return to Kathmandu for the evening. You can spend your free time exploring Thamel, enjoying its eclectic mix of shops, cafes, and street life.

We start the day with a visit to a local monastery where nuns engage in the traditional craft of incense-making. This visit provides a unique opportunity to learn about their daily life and the artisanal process behind their handcrafted incense.
Afterward, we will immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of a local market, capturing photographs of traditional crafts, local foods, and the everyday bustle of Nepalese life. By midday, we will embark on a scenic drive to Nagarkot, a picturesque hill station renowned for its stunning views of the Himalayas.
Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and have the evening to relax and enjoy the serene environment. The cooler climate and panoramic views make Nagarkot an ideal spot to unwind and prepare for the next day’s adventures.
Overnight in Nagarkot.
The day begins early as we head out to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas, including views of Mount Everest. The morning light illuminating the peaks provides a perfect photo opportunity. After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu, with a stop at Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), also known as the Monkey Temple. Perched atop a hill, Swayambhunath offers panoramic views of the city and is a significant Buddhist site adorned with numerous stupas and monasteries. After exploring the Monkey temple, we will return to Kathmandu for the afternoon.
Here, each participant will have the chance to present their best photos and videos captured during the tour. This session will be a great opportunity to share experiences and receive feedback from peers and the guide.
In the evening, you are free to explore Thamel once more or relax at your hotel. Overnight in Thamel.
On the final day, you will have some free time for last-minute shopping in Thamel, where you can pick up souvenirs, handicrafts, and other local goods. Depending on your flight schedule, we will arrange for your transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport. As you board your flight, you can reflect on the memorable experiences and beautiful moments captured during your Cultural Photo & Video Tour of Kathmandu and its surroundings.
